The way things are going movies should be done in a few days.. complete with a mp4 playable movie of every digital camera movie I have..

All pictures and video libraries are now up to date (mainly) no auto-rotation on pictures 2005-2011 sorry :(

There's been some setbacks.. apparently the gallery 3 "auto-rotation" feature is broken.. I thought I tested it and proved it working.. but looks like I made a mistake (in fact it does for example work here on dreamhost) but it won't work through a full scan.. the "jhead" module anyway.. while maybe I can find a way to make it work (thinking php 5.3.x might help)??
There has also been some improvements.. the reason why this site doesn't have and hasn't had for years full gallery database of all pictures is because "dreamhost" would kill the script based on processor or ram usage.. dunno?
(I was getting around this problem/fixing this by using a home webserver to get the data/gallery ready.. this now appears.. unnecessary!)
There no longer killing the script if you look here a 50 Gb scan of the 2006 folder is nearly complete.. (and should have 2007 done by late tomorrow) also gallery3 has a neat new auto-restart feature.. that I'm not even sure g2 had.. so it looks like I'm going to get everything up after all.. the only problem 1,000's of photo's dated between 2005 and 2011 will not be auto-rotated.. but I think that can be fixed by a future scan on dreamhost when they fix whatever is wrong with auto-rotate which could takes years or decades.. no promises :P
While most of 2010 is done for movies.. I just haven't felt like working on mass encoding movies lately.. so it may take a while longer just do to my motivation :P.. Movies will also be playable in the gallery picture scan area but I'm creating a special section anyway..
Also coming up will be another special section/gallery for 1992-2001 videos..
I'm also not thinking of putting back in "community builder" or as people coming here know it as people database.. I'm thinking instead of a button that brings up a list of facebook profiles.. this way people can be in charge of their own data.. I know that many people "really don't like themselves!" and have privacy concerns like my MOM for one.. :P So in this way since facebook gives you more tools for that.. may be a better outlet..
